This commission was from my brother in law for his 26 wedding anniversary, which  is celebrated by 'paint'. 

 

This was by far my largest and most challenging paint pouring painting.  The canvas was quite heavy and I wanted to control the paint movement to create specific areas over the canvas.  

​

The painting aimed to create the essence of marriage, with the fun times - the beach, the crazy times -  the waves, and the calm times of the deep ocean blue.  Marriage is two imperfect people never giving up on each other regardless.

 

It now hangs majestically at their Isle of Wight house, a truly happy place.

This work was created on an upcycled canvas from Cancer Research  size  900mm x  800mm x 40mm unframed.
